Intercoil International, Dubai based orthopedic sleep products manufacturer, has reported an increase of 22 per cent in total sales for 2008, and a 50 per cent growth in retail sales.

The company likewise announced that it will push through with expanding its business nationwide this year. Recently, two new stores were opened in The Walk–JBR and Al Ain Mall.

In addition, Al-Quoz branch was re-opened after renovation, increasing its total retail outlets in the UAE to seven.

Catering to the huge demand of Intercoil products across the country, the opening of new stores will ensure that the company can reach out to all its customers in the UAE.

The emphasis on eco-friendly approach to manufacturing and therapeutic benefits of sleep has made Intercoil a leading provider of healthy sleep products in the region, said a statement.

'Intercoil has continually practiced high standards of quality through the application of cutting edge manufacturing processes. Quality and customer service are also the two reasons behind the success of our innovative and healing products,' stated Hassan Al-Hazeem, managing director of Intercoil International.

'We foresee demand for our products to increase. Thus, sales growth shall continue through the first quarter of 2009 and will be fueled by our aggressive expansion plans for the rest of the year,' he said.

Intercoil was incorporated in 1974 and is a member of the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA).

Intercoil holds the Guinness World Record for manufacturing the biggest bed in the world and is the only company in the UAE mattress industry accredited with ISO 9001, 14000 and OHSAS 18001, he added.
