Riffa Views donates equipment to hospital

Manama, July 15, 2009

Bahrain-based Riffa Views, a top luxury residential development, has donated new laboratory equipment to the renowned American Mission Hospital (AMH), Bahrain’s oldest hospital.

The equipment was purchased with funds from Riffa Views’ sponsorship of the 2008 AMH Island Classic charity golf tournament.

Alfredo Laffitte, Riffa Views CEO, who presented the serology analyser to AMH, said: “This charity golf event aims at raising funds to improve the quality of life of the people of Bahrain. We are proud to see that Riffa Views’ support, along the last three years, has enabled one of the longest serving health care institutions in Bahrain to continue assisting the community with top quality care.”

“Riffa Views’ sponsorship of last year’s AMH Island Classic enabled us to purchase new equipment for the laboratory department that will help diagnose many illnesses and will allow AMH to treat patients more efficiently while providing a fast response to their needs,” said AMH marketing and development manager and Island Classic organiser Bahnaz Abbas.

AMH chief medical officer/CEO Dr Paul Armerding said: “With the generous support of Riffa Views we are able to meet the needs of our patients even more effectively. The donation of the new equipment gives our laboratory staff even better equipment to diagnose and treat our patients.” – TradeArabia News Service
