Boston University Dental Health Center – Dubai, a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center (AMC), took part in a major dental fair which recently concluded in Dubai.

Organised by the Higher Colleges of Technology Sharjah Women’s College at its campus, Dental Fair 2010 took place on February 24 and 25.

The event provided a perfect platform to discuss key dental subjects such as teeth and gums, food and teeth, a child’s diet, fluoride and children, caring for wisdom teeth, aesthetic dentistry, stress and oral health, as well as first-aid for teeth.

The dental fair also saw experts offering advice on the importance of dental hygiene and providing updates on general healthcare and other medical disciplines. Tips on preventive techniques were also shared.

“This initiative is in line with our vision to extend our support to raising the standards of qualified dental professionals,” said Dr Steven Morgano, chief academic officer of Boston University.
