Cleveland, HDH sign affiliation agreement

Cleveland Clinic has signed an affiliation agreement with Healthcare Development Holding (HDH) to collaborate on medical education and training to enhance and promote relationships and knowledge sharing programmes with healthcare providers in Saudi.

“Cleveland Clinic has been established in Saudi for over 40 years,” Toby M Cosgrove, MD, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic, said.

The establishment of a base in Riyadh allows HDH to collaborate with Cleveland Clinic to transfer much needed intellectual property to support the advancement of healthcare in the region, said a statement.

The employees the clinic’s affiliate office in Saudi will help to foster relationships with key stakeholders through multiple Cleveland education, training programs, and knowledge sharing initiatives.

The office will provide expanded access to patients in Saudi that may need medical second opinions and or appointments request from Cleveland physicians in the US, the statement said.

In addition, the team will organise educational lectures and symposiums to add value to the medical community on best practices to treat medical conditions that are prevalent in the region, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
