Qatar medical meet bridges international, local players

DOHA, May 29, 2015

The Qatar International Medical Congress (QIMC), which concluded today (May 29), bridged the gap between international researchers, experts and leading medical companies and Qatar’s leading entrepreneurs, docs and researchers in the field.

It discussed the latest products, services and technologies in the medical sector and paved the way for accessing new and improved techniques and equipment that will provide better treatment for the people of Qatar, said a statement.

The event was market by the overwhelming support and participation of the exhibitors, sponsors and speakers, as well as the number of visitors that attended the exhibition.

A highlight of the event was the gala dinner on the first day, sponsored by Sharq Medical Supply, which honoured QIMC’s sponsors with certificates and hosted numerous exhibitors, decision makers and participants, who extended their networking and discussions well into the dinner.

Abdullah AbdulRazzak Haider, congress chief executive officer, said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed and honoured at the degree of attention and interest that was given to the QIMC 2015. The quality and level of participation is above what we expected.

“With continued efforts, we hope to see Qatar on the list of countries with the most advanced medical sector. We are optimistic that the technologies and techniques shared over the past few days will contribute greatly to improving the level of our healthcare system.”

“Most importantly, I would like to thank each and every strategic partner, sponsor, exhibitor and health support, who gave their full dedication and support to this event. The success of QIMC wouldn’t have been possible without this powerful support system. As long as we have the essential support of market leaders and decision makers, such as the names we were honoured to work with this year, we are certain that we will succeed in creating a better healthcare system for a healthier Qatar, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Rabih Karam, general manager of Art & Art, the event’s organiser, said: “We are very pleased with the outcome of QIMC 2015. By bringing together global experts and regional decision makers in a professional setting that enables them to share experiences and expertise, we were able to greatly contribute to the development of Qatar’s medical sector. Let us consider this event the steppingstone to a healthier future, and we are very optimistic about what’s yet to come.

“I would like to thank all the staff that worked day and night on making this event a success. None of it would have been possible without all the efforts of such a dedicated team of professionals.” - TradeArabia News Service
