Wasl, Aster team up to provide free health checks

DUBAI, June 10, 2015

Leading property management organisation wasl Properties has teamed up with renowned healthcare provider Aster Medical Group to provide families in Dubai with free health check-ups this month.

It will offer free medical tests and lifestyle advice for wasl families in two of the city’s prominent locations, with wasl saying that the service forms a core part of its commitment to its tenants.

Zainab Mohamed, chief executive officer, Property Management and Marketing at wasl, said: “This latest wasl health drive is a key engagement initiative for our customers that shows our concern for them in all areas of their lives, not just in matters relating to their properties.

“The wellbeing of our tenants and their families is extremely important to us as we believe that a healthy customer is a happy customer.”

The first of wasl Properties’ and Aster Medical Group’s health camps took place at the club house in wasl square on last week, where 270 families from the company’s wasl square development and 23 families from its wasl vita project were invited to attend.

The second will be hosted on June 12 in the wasl amber reception area. A total of 153 families will be entitled to avail the free service - 69 families from wasl amber properties and 84 families from wasl onyx real estate development.

The tenants and their families attending the health check-up events will have their heart rate and blood pressure checked, as well as their body mass index (BMI) determined through weight and height measurements. They will also have their blood sugar levels assessed in view of diabetes being a significant problem in this part of the world.

After analysing the readings, the attendees will receive a free consultation from the Aster medical professionals about their lifestyles and how they could improve their health.

Among the advice dispensed will be information on how individuals could optimise their diet, shed extra pounds and take up safe levels of exercise.

“Medical check-up and lifestyle advice activities such as these are an integral component of our CSR programme that is committed to giving back to the community,” said Mohamed.

“We are very keen to tailor future health services for our tenants, so after carrying out each health assessment, we give out survey cards to gauge attendees’ feedback about the health camps. The gathered information will be used by wasl to plan further professional health screening and advice for residents in the forthcoming years,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
