It will showcase presentations and discussions in implementing strategies to design, construct operate and maintain effective drainage and wastewater networks in the Sultanate.

Water scarcity, increase in population and improvement of the living standards has put strain on water resources and their use in the country. Hence, finding new unconventional water resources such as treated wastewater (TWW) has become highly important in the country, said a statement.

Effective management of these resources will play an important role in providing an efficient and sustainable form of overcoming challenges such as scarcity of water and floods.

In a desert environment with scarce natural water resources, it is vital to maximise every water resource possible, said the statement.
