Jordan's City Mall in breast cancer awareness drive

AMMAN, October 26, 2015

Jordan's City Mall has been illuminated in pink, acknowledging the fight against breast cancer, in line with its corporate social responsibility towards the Jordanian society and supporting the breast cancer awareness month.

The mall’s exterior pink lighting continued for three days to honour those who have battled breast cancer, and join global efforts to raise awareness and encourage all to learn more on how to prevent it and reduce its chances, said a statement.

This initiative came in line with the breast cancer awareness month, marked in countries across the world every October, to increase attention and support for the fight against breast cancer, it said.

Maram Enaya, commercial manager at City Mall, said, that lighting up the mall in pink is more than a symbol - it's a sign of victory over this illness and a gesture of appreciation to all the exerted efforts in fighting it.

“This move confirms our firm commitment towards this global initiative, as we collectively aim to elevate public awareness on this disease, hence it’s an important factor to ensure its prevention. We hope to encourage and motivate all the females to adopt a healthy lifestyle and undergo regular screenings,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
