Stroke patients in Bahrain get a new lifeline

MANAMA, October 29, 2015

Stroke patients in Bahrain will have a new lifeline thanks to a drug that is expected to reduce fatalities by up to 30 per cent. The medication, which is expected to be available at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) in early January, is based on a protein that breaks down blood clots in the brain, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
