New hope for women sickle cell patients in Bahrain

MANAMA, November 6, 2015

Two women-only waiting areas for female sickle cell patients will be established in the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department of Bahrain’s main hospital. The order was given yesterday by Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh, just two days after she conducted a surprise inspection at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) facility and witnessed patients crowding the entrance, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
