Egypt shuts down Suez ports

Cairo, March 7, 2009

Egypt closed three ports along the Gulf of Suez on Saturday because of bad weather, the country's state news agency reported.

High wind and waves forced the closure of the ports of Sukhna, Adabiya, and Port Tawfik, MENA reported, without saying when they would reopen.
