New marina section opens at Pearl-Qatar

Doha, February 24, 2014

Ronautica Middle East (RME) has opened a major new section of Porto Arabia Marina at The Pearl - Qatar (TPQ) to cope with increased demand for berths and to provide a greater variety of service to new customers.

The newly opened 159-berth marina section, called ‘Marina C’ is as large or larger than most of the other marinas of Doha.  It is situated in front of many quality retail and restaurant outlets in the Porto Arabia district of The Pearl Qatar, including Al Tabkha Lebanese Bistro, a soon-to-open Red Lobster Seafood and Casa Paco Spanish Restaurants along with fine retail shops such as Al Jaber Opticians, DNA clothing and Princess of Roses flower shop.

Porto Arabia Marina has over 782 berths in total and the marina is opening up sections as yachts fill up the berths.  Four sections with 411 berths were opened previously and only one section, containing 212 berths, is yet to be opened.

There has been keen interest in the new location from local yacht owners with berths there ranging from 10 meters up to 24 meters.  All the berths are fully serviced with water and shore power supplies.

Adel Al Muhannadi, harbour master of RME said: ‘We are happy to expand the quality of service to yacht owners of Qatar.  This marina is centrally located along the busy and vibrant Porto Arabia boardwalk and we expect the berths to be in high demand.”

This newly presented marina section benefits from all the same high quality infrastructure as the rest of Porto Arabia Marina with 24 hour security, ample parking space, experienced dock hands to assist in mooring and wide, solid and safe pontoons.

“The marinas of The Pearl - Qatar are the perfect place to moor your yacht, with great marina infrastructure and services blending effortlessly with the varied retail and culinary delights offered on the Island.  At Ronautica we are committed to ensuring our customers get the best from their valuable time on their yachts and on the water,” Al Muhannadi added.

In addition to the Porto Arabia and Costa Malaz marinas, Ronautica also operates Doha’s only Water Taxi -Shuttle Service, operating within in Porto Arabia and offers a luxury 40-feet yacht available for charter.

Ronautica also plans to open more marinas on The Pearl – Qatar in the future, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
