Serco inks Dubai Metro network maintenance deal

Serco Company, the operator of the Dubai Metro, has awarded a one-year renewable contract to Nedaa Corporation to deliver technical services and applications related to the maintenance of the wireless communication network of the metro lines, said a report.
 
The deal covers periodic and corrective maintenance of 50 transmission stations, and monitoring for any malfunctioning or emergency failures, in addition to revamping the telecommunication network of the metro stations, said the Emirates News Agency (WAM) report.
 
The contract will contribute to the enhancing of the efficiency of the wireless network of the Dubai Metro on both Red and Green Lines, Chris Rayner, managing director of Serco, was quoted as saying.
 
It represents a step towards broadening joint co-operation with other entities in delivering better services, he added.
