MANAMA, March 12, 2015
The British Safety Council has announced the shortlists for the Health and Safety Champion for 2015 and the Young Health and Safety Champion for 2015 awards.
The council said the two special individual awards will be given alongside the International Safety Awards at a gala dinner at the Grosvenor House in London on April 24, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
This will be the third year that the British Safety Council has presented the awards.
Alba's Ahmed Ismaeel Ali Janahi is among the six people shortlisted for the Health and Safety Champion Award for 2015.
This year, more than 100 organisations put forward nominees for the two individual awards.
The applicants are from organisations operating across a range of sectors and territories including the UK, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the West Indies.
Congratulating those shortlisted, council acting policy and communications director Joscelyne Shaw said they are people who have gone the extra mile over and above their main job roles. - TradeArabia News Service
