Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries around the world, said that it will be take part at the upcoming Beauty World Middle East, in Dubai, UAE.

Beauty World is one of the largest international trade fairs for buyers of beauty products, hair, fragrances and wellbeing in the region.

The event will take place from May 15 to 17.

Many countries around the world have implemented conformity assessment programmes to protect their citizens from poor quality imports, and give their consumers the assurance they need when purchasing goods such as cosmetics and healthcare products, said a statement from Intertek.

Exporters, manufacturers and traders to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Kenya, Nigeria, Gabon, Ethiopia, Libya, Niger, Qatar and Russia need to comply with the requirements of these programmes to enter these markets by obtaining mandatory certification prior to shipment. Failure to do so can result in severe delays in goods clearance, penalties or even shipments being returned, it said.

Egypt is the latest country, through its General Organization of Export and Import Control (GOEIC), to introduce strict guidelines for the import of health and beauty products. Intertek has been approved by GOEIC to issue the Certificates of Conformity required for Customs clearance and also assist manufacturers and trademark owners in the registration of their products with GOIEC, it added.

Intertek can issue the necessary certificates to meet these countries standards and offer a comprehensive range of services aimed at ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of health and beauty products.

These services include safety and quality testing, regulatory compliance, Reach, toxicology, raw material quality assurance and international registration and Ecosma, the electronic cosmetic notification system for Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, Intertek announced that its specialists are available in Hall 4 Stand 4A37, to discuss the latest market access regulatory requirements for cosmetics and healthcare products. – TradeArabia News Service
