DOHA, October 16, 2016

A total of 14 Qatari companies are participating at the ongoing Sial 2016, a leading international food exhibition, taking place in Paris, France, said a report.

The event kicked off today (October 16) and will run until October 20, at the Paris Nord Villepinte.

Qatari food products will be displayed at the global level, which will help the local companies to expand their presence overseas and increase their competitiveness, added the Peninsula Qatar report.

QDB, through its export arm, ‘Tasdeer’, will be participating in the exhibition along with local companies at the Qatar Pavilion, it said.

Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa, chief executive officer of QDB, said that the Qatari companies seek to promote its local food manufacturers across the globe and advance the country’s Qatar National Vision 2030’s objectives of diversifying national sources of income.

Sial is a global trade fair that connects professionals in the agri-food industry by facilitating the meeting of potential buyers and suppliers through exhibitions that take place in different cities.

Qatar Flour Mills, Qatar Tunisian Food Company, Qatar Meat Production and other Qatari companies will participate in the exhibition, added the report.
