Dubai launches innovative firefighting systems
DUBAI, January 24, 2017
Dubai Civil Defence launched an innovative early response firefighing service, Dolphin, utilising water jetpacks at the opening of Intersec Fire Safety Conference, on Sunday.
The conference is held as part of Intersec 2017, the world’s largest trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection,
and features critical infrastructure and cyber security conference - providing the visitors with significant insights into the changing dynamics of the regional safety and security industry.
Major General Rashid Al Matrooshi, the director-general of Dubai Civil Defence, launched the firefighting system which will allow civil defence to tackle blazes in boats and shoreline buildings from water.
''Dolphin is one of the innovative ideas and smart apps which include the floating firefighting stations that launched by Dubai Civil Defence,'' he said.
Emerging fire and life safety issues, creating a safety and security culture, optimising protection of public places, security of critical business information and avoiding and protecting against cyber-attacks will be some of the key topics in focus at the Intersec Conferences held alongside the Intersec 2017 exhibition.-TradeArabia News Service
