GPN signs three deals with Bahrain firms

Manama, October 31, 2007

Malaysia-based Green Packet Networks (GPN) has signed three new partnerships with Bahrain-based companies.

GPN has signed deals with Etisalcom, Bahrain Advanced Technology Company (Batec) and Al Muallim to meet market demand for new generation networking solutions based on GPN's Self Organising Network (SON) technologies, said a report in our sister publication Gulf Daily News.

A signing ceremony was held yesterday at the Novatel Hotel and Spa attended by GPN chief executive Michael Lai, Etisalcom chief executive Rashid Al Sanan, Batec president and chief executive Ebrahim Raees and Al Muallim chief executive Khalid Janahi.

GPN is a wireless broadband technology and next-generation mobile solutions firm.

The firm's main objective is to expand its network through its Partners Programme, a region-wide initiative that aims to boost profitability and enhance presence in high-growth areas.

"GPN is delighted to establish an alliance with Etisalcom, Batec and Al Muallim which will greatly help us in targeting specific sectors in Bahrain," GPN chairman Ali Al Mashat said.

GPN currently has 24 partners in 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region, following a 100 per cent partnership programme that was launched in Bahrain in February this year.- TradeArabia News Service
