Genx launches two new USB adapters

Genx, a leading digital lifestyle accessories brand, has recently launched two USB adapters for desktop PCs and notebooks, providing a solution for high-speed wireless reception with enhanced Internet security features.

GX-3000 USB adapter and the GX-1500 USB adapter are 11n wireless USB adapters that comply with IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0 wireless standard and are backward compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g.

GX-3000 delivers up to 300 Mbps data transfer rates in 11n mode, while GX-1500 USB is capable of up to 150 Mbps data transfer rates in 11n mode. Both adapters also enable peer-to-peer communication among compatible client users that does not require access point.

"The GX-3000 and GX-1500 USB Adapters have been developed in response to the increasing mobility and connectivity requirements of internet and network users,” said Shabu Sultan, general manager, Memory Technology Middle East (MTC), exclusive distributor of Genx products in the Middle East.

“These new wireless solutions have been designed for unsurpassed wireless performance and are also loaded with high-level security features, delivering a truly satisfying internet experience and high-speed connection whether on a notebook or desktop PC,” he added.

The GX-3000 and GX-1500 USB Adapters also enable users to easily share photos, files, music, video, printers, and storage.

The new devices have also been optimised for a range of key functionalities, including smooth digital phone calls, gaming, downloading, and video streaming. Both the GX-300 and GX-1500 support WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPS, 802.1x high-level WLAN security features that guarantee the best security for users, Sultan said.

Designed with simple user setup and diagnostics utilities, the GX-300 and GX-1500 also feature legacy and high throughput modes and have been developed to support 64/128-bit WEP data encryption, quality of service (QoS) – WMM, WMM-PS; both infrastructure and ad-hoc networking modes, and multiple BSSID. – TradeArabia News Service
