BT wins Telecoms World Middle East award

BT has won the prestigious Telecoms World Middle East award in the category Best International Wholesale Carrier.

The award recognises BT’s strength and commitment to the markets worldwide, according to the organisers.

BT works with more than 680 carriers across all continents and provides network services and solutions to more than 1,000 communications providers inside the UK. Customers include players from across the communications industry, from fixed-line operators and internet service providers to mobile network operators.

“As one of the very first telecommunications operators in the world, BT today remains committed to bringing the benefits of connectivity to virtually every part of the world,” stated Stephen Kelly, head of BT Global Telecom Markets, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Telecoms World Awards Middle East event, running for the fourth year, is organised by a business media and events agency, Terrapinn.

“The award highlights BT’s commitment to international markets and just how strong its international wholesale business is,” added Matthew Wallhead, general manager, Terrapinn Middle East.-TradeArabia News Service
