CompuMe, i2 join 'Cash for Mobiles'

Dubai, November 15, 2010

Virgin, CompuMe and i2 have announced the launch of 'Cash for Mobiles,' a unique, innovative recycling reward scheme that allows customers to exchange their old mobile phones for instant cash.

This ground-breaking recycling scheme has been running successfully in UK for over 10 years. Cash for Mobiles was launched in the GCC markets in June and has had a fantastic response.

'The scheme is quite simple. Take your old mobile phone (Working or Non-Working) to any Virgin, i2 or CompuMe store and the salesperson will run a quick physical and technical check to assess the condition and therefore the value, of the phone. If the customer accepts the price offer the cash is paid instantly on the spot,' said  Dikran Tchablakian, Founder & CEO of CompuMe.

Tchablakian expressed delight at the launch of this scheme at its stores. 'We want to offer customers the very best retail experience possible and this service is a very simple way they can help pay for their new items in an eco-friendly manner,' he added.

Customers can check the value of their mobile and the list of participating stores by visiting www.cashformobiles.me.

Dominic Gothard CEO and chairman for Cash for Mobiles is thrilled to be working with such prestigious new retail partners.

“Virgin, i2 and CompuMe are iconic brands that represent dynamic innovation. Our scheme fits well with that positioning because recycling needs to play an important part in everyone’s life if we are going to build a sustainable future,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
