Samsung expands notebook series

Samsung Electronics has expanded its premium notebook portfolio with the launch of the advanced Series 9 and Series 7 notebooks.

The Series 9 notebook is now available in an upgraded version that includes the latest Intel Core i7 processor, 6GB of DDR memory and up to 256GB SSDs.

The Series 7 Chronos notebook, introduced for the first time in the region, delivers exceptionally high PC performance while maintaining an ultraportable form factor, a statement said.

“The mobile computing industry is growing robustly in the region and we have seen an increased demand for premium notebooks that offers powerful mobile computing without compromising on portability,” said Raj Varma, general manager of IT Sales Group at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

“To meet these consumer needs, we are proud to introduce our premium notebook line-up that offers world-class ultraportable, powerful notebook PC experience,” he added.

The Series 9 notebook is crafted from duralumin, a lightweight material that is twice as strong as aluminum and normally used in advanced aircraft design, the 13.3” notebook weighs only 1.31kg (2.88lbs.) while measuring only 16.3mm (0.64inches) in depth.

Equipped with Microsoft Windows 7, up to  6GB DDR memory and a solid state drive up to 256GB, the Series 9 Notebook provides users 60 percent faster booting (compared to a hard disk drive notebook), optimized power and solid performance.

The high-spec Series 7 Chronos features the latest Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor, the ExpressCache technology, 6GB of DDR memory and Samsung’s proprietary FastStart feature. These advanced enables a faster start-up as well as increasing the overall performance while Quick Boot feature ensures the notebook is ready to go – from cold – in just 19 seconds, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
