Batelco, the leading telecom service provider in Bahrain, has announced the signing of its 1000th roaming agreement with an international operator.

This ensures a wide range of choices for Batelco’s customers while they use their mobile devices overseas. The agreements which cover all telecoms services are available across 148 overseas locations.

“This is a great achievement that we are proud of as it gives our customers more flexibility in selecting their roaming operator to benefit from enhanced coverage and more competitive rates,” said Batelco chief executive Bahrain Rashid Abdulla.

“We try to provide more than one choice of provider in key locations as prices for the various roaming services can vary from operator to operator,” he added.

“By providing the full details online, our customers’ can avoid running up unexpected charges while travelling overseas for business or leisure,” said Batelco’s Group general manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
