Customers subscribed to any of Etisalat’s domestic monthly plan can access data while roaming into Mobily-Saudi Arabia or Etisalat-Misr networks without additional charges, starting today.

The new promotion extends the customers’ local data-usage experience in Saudi Arabia and Egypt at rates and conditions as applicable in the UAE, said a statement from Etisalat. 

Individuals and businesses subscribed to any Etisalat data pack with enabled roaming service, including MyPlan, MyData Plan, iPhone or BlackBerry domestic packs are also eligible to benefit from the new promotion.

Matthew Willsher, chief marketing officer, Etisalat, said: “Etisalat is leveraging synergies between partner operators to accelerate spread of roaming data and internet services in the region. This latest offer makes it more affordable for customers to access data on their smartphones and tablets while travelling to Saudi Arabia and Egypt.”

“For example, if a customer subscribed to 1GB local data pack uses 300MB in the UAE, the balance 700MB data can be used when roaming on Etisalat Misr or Mobily-KSA networks without additional roaming charges,” he added.

For out-of-bundle data usage, the roaming customer will be charged at the local rate of the subscribed local data pack. The promotion is valid for three months, the statement said.

Etisalat Misr and Mobily-KSA also offer the promotion to their local data pack customers roaming within any of the three countries, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
