Bahrain’s leading telecom services operator Batelco has brought back its popular 'SMS Challenge'  with massive cash prizes.

The 'SMS Challenge' will run for 88 days until June 5. Throughout the competition period there will be numerous opportunities for customers to win cash prizes starting from $1000 daily prizes up to $50,000 for the Grand prize as part of the total prize fund of $161,000, said a statement from Batelco.

For this year, there will be 63 daily winners of $1000 cash prizes, 24 weekly winners of $2,000 cash prizes, (12 selected in a lucky draw and 12 to the top participants).

At the end of the Challenge, one lucky winner will walk away with the grand prize of $50,000 which will be announced on June 9, the statement added.  

Batelco’s customers can participate in this challenge by sending ‘B’ to 95555 to receive mobile content as well as quiz questions for every SMS sent.

For each correct answer, the participants will be rewarded with 20 points, while incorrect or invalid answers will be rewarded 10 points. The cost of participation is 490 fils per SMS, said the statement.

“We held the SMS Challenge campaign in 2013 which was extremely popular with our customers and we have been receiving many requests to repeat the competition,” remarked Muna Al Hashimi, the  General Manager (Consumer Division).
