HCE brings NFC technology to iTech Gulf

Manama, March 24, 2014

One of the many technological highlights of the upcoming iTech Gulf 2014 Forum and Exhibition in Bahrain will be the showcase of NFC Wall (near field communication) as a technology for the first time by 4Spots, a leading digital agency.

The technology will facilitate information exchange in a very mobile world using simple tags.

Users will get to experience the simple application of this technology among many other technology highlights at the exhibition to be held at the Gulf Convention Centre, Gulf Hotel, on April 8 and 9.

During iTech Gulf, the NFC Wall will enable individuals to gather detailed information on exhibitors or speakers using their smartphones by simply swiping over sections on the walls.

Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of organisers Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions, said: “iTech Gulf is all about cutting-edge ICT, so it is only right that we lead from the front, working with our strategic partner 4Spots to deliver, through the NFC Wall, a ‘real tech’ experience for visitors and delegates to instantly exchange contacts and information via their smart phones.”

Srusti Ranjan, 4Spots co-founder, said: “As an agency, we strive to bring innovative methods of connecting people with brands using technology to complement their marketing requirements and the simple application of this technology at the conference will be one among many that will expose people and guide them towards the early adoption of various innovative techniques in marketing.”

Aside from the NFC Wall, 4Spots, iTech Gulf’s gold sponsors, is a leader in the NFC Technology, a wireless technology that allows a device to collect and interpret data from another closely located NFC device or tag and which can be used in contactless payment solutions for smartphones. - TradeArabia News Service
