Al Mazroei ... adopting innovative strategies.

BMTS, Schneider in 'smart future' drive

DUBAI, December 1, 2014

Bahri & Mazroei Technical Systems (BMTS), a leading buildings systems' integrator in the UAE, has announced its partnership with Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management, to educate the region’s infra-development sector on ‘the technology-driven shift towards a smart and connected future.’

As part of this strategy, BMTS took part in Schneider Electric’s annual ‘Power to the Cloud 2014’ conference held in Dubai, UAE, recently.

The two-day conference and exhibition highlighted the new-age topics on the dynamic aspects of city life – banking and finance, education and healthcare, aviation and transportation, public services and utilities, telecommunications and hospitality – in an effort to make smart cities a reality.

BMTS is a leader in the UAE in providing a wide range of high-quality value-added technical solutions with engineering, integration and maintenance services to technically-superior buildings and infrastructure, while Schneider Electric is a European multinational corporation that specialises in electricity distribution, automation management and produces installation components for energy management.

Esam R Al Mazroei, managing director of Bahri & Mazroei Group, said: “We are very pleased to associate with Schneider Electric in its efforts to disseminate the knowledge on advantages of creating smart cities by adopting innovative strategies. The GCC region, in particular the UAE, is already at the heart of this transformation, making the most of these evolving opportunities and leading the market in providing managed services for many projects.

“The smart technologies that facilitate the infra-development sector meet the necessity to improve the economic competitiveness, environmental viability and the quality of life.”

“Businesses are capable of leveraging the cloud technology and the advanced services it enables, supporting them in performing better innovations and converged engineering and utility solutions for buildings and infrastructure projects, especially in the public sector,” said Al Mazroei.

“Market dynamics and measures for sustainable development drive the infra-development sector globally, offering innovative technologies for sustainable development,” he added.

“The next big thing is really about the idea of embedded intelligence, communication and control in physical systems – biological, mechanical and electronic – becoming much more intimately integrated with more general purpose computing and networked systems. In the near future, everything we can see and use would be connected by innovative technologies,” Al Mazroei concluded.

Sivakumar Subramanian, general manager of BMTS, said: “Being one of the leading providers of turnkey and facility management solutions in the UAE, BMTS implements a range of innovative and smart solutions for monitoring and controlling numerous buildings in the UAE and beyond. We have successfully implemented building automation, access control, communication and integrated solutions for numerous infrastructure projects in the UAE.

“In line with smart city strategies, we cater to smart buildings, smart homes and offices, smart healthcare infrastructure, smart energy systems, smart educational organisations, smart government projects and smart transportation systems. The industry is witnessing a phenomenal change with the emergence of smart city solutions.”

“We have witnessed that the demand for multi-disciplinary intelligent solutions has increased significantly, with seamless integration of information technology and cutting edge mobile and service technologies,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
