Etisalat,Alcatel-Lucent in deal for advanced network technologies

BARCELONA, March 4, 2015

UAE-based Etisalat and French global telecom equipment company Alcatel-Lucent, have signed an agreement to develop and apply the latest networking technologies to enhance mobile broadband accessibility and improve digital customers’ experiences.

The agreement covers a wide scope of cooperation, with Alcatel-Lucent providing key IP and ultra-broadband access technologies, as well as customer experience solutions.

A signing ceremony was held at the Alcatel-Lucent stand at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (Spain), and was attended by senior executives including Saleh Al-Abdooli, CEO of Etisalat UAE; Haitham Abdulrazzak, chief technology officer of Etisalat UAE; Michel Combes, CEO, Alcatel-Lucent; and Willem Hendrickx, President, Alcatel-Lucent EMEA, among others.
