Microsoft launches CRM app for tablets, phones

DUBAI, August 9, 2015

Microsoft has announced the availability of Dynamics CRM App for tablets and phones on its Windows Store, making it easier to download for users of windows enabled hand held devices.

The move is geared towards enhancing collaboration within organizations that currently use Dynamics CRM and to also increase the productivity of their staff.

Dynamics CRM users are now able to access CRM data on their windows, android and iOS tablets and phones through apps or through browsers on their devices. Enterprises and government departments will leverage this new development to enhance mobility among staff to allow anytime anywhere data access.

Karim Talhouk, Microsoft Business Solutions Lead, Microsoft Gulf said: “At Microsoft Dynamics, our vision is to help our customers deliver the kinds of amazing customer experiences that will help their business thrive.”

“We believe that there has traditionally been a chasm between marketing and sales that needs to be bridged in order to truly deliver personalized, end-to-end experiences that customers will love. In a world where sellers and marketers must work more closely together to seamlessly and successfully engage customers, Microsoft is providing the solutions that can enable them to deliver amazing customer experiences together.

“By making Dynamics CRM available for windows phones and tablets, as well as android and iOS, companies will be able to drive greater success and engagement with their customers. This is part of Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to enhance mobility to allow organisations and individuals to do more and achieve more,” he added.

Users are able to access Microsoft Dynamics CRM data from tablet devices in different ways, a statement said.

Apps for Windows 8, Apple iPad, and Android tablets are available to run Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015.

Alternatively, CRM can be accessed using the device’s preferred browser for compatible devices. Accessing Microsoft Dynamics CRM from a web browser on a tablet or phone that runs windows, android or iOS provides a similar experience to accessing from a web browser on a desktop or laptop computer.

Only CRM for tablets can connect to both Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organizations and Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises deployments, providing a hybrid infrastructure for users, the statement said.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organizations using CRM for tablets require the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Online or later versions, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
