Allied Telesis to conduct 'R&D Day' for ME in Dubai

DUBAI, October 12, 2015

Allied Telesis, a recognised innovator of smart technologies for an information-driven world, is set to unveil its global initiative ‘Allied Telesis R&D Day’ to the Middle East region.
 
The day will be conducted for the region on the last day of Gitex Technology Week 2015, October 22 at Hotel Conrad, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE.
 
The Allied Telesis R&D Day is a global initiative aimed at sharing technology and product roadmaps with its key customers and channel partners, said a statement.
 
The R&D Day is presided over by the technical experts from Allied Telesis R&D Labs based out of New Zealand and the US. 
 
It is a platform for customers and partners to share their technology requirements, giving feedback and suggestions so that improvisations to products can be made, thus making Allied Telesis products and services even more lucrative for customers.
 
Graham Walker, senior product manager at Allied Telesis Labs will be conducting the day in Dubai. He has 20 years' experience in software research and development, 13 of which have been with Allied Telesis. 
 
Walker's role will be to drive the development of the network operating system used on the company's flagship portfolio, while ensuring that Allied Telesis innovate the way in which services and applications are delivered and managed – both now and into the future.
 
Sabbahuddin Khan, regional manager at Allied Telesis ME, said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to welcome Graham to Dubai in order to interact with our customers and to share information in advance of our upcoming product launches and our direction and strategy on important issues affecting the world of networking.

The channel partners and customers will be updated on the latest industry and technology trends worldwide. Among the topics presented during the show will be AlliedWare Plus, x-Series switches, Software roadmap for AMF and SDN, Network Monitoring and Envigilant.
 
AlliedWare Plus is a fully featured Layer 3+ OS that delivers the performance and functionality required by the most demanding environments. While, x-Series Layer 3 switches provides an unmatched combination of resilience, intelligent management, and network virtualisation, said the statement.
 
Built on advanced networking standards, and innovative features, the x-Series switches combine seamlessly to create powerful solutions, it said.
 
“We expect over 50 partners and customers to attend and experience the R&D Day. We see this as an opportunity for our technical team from our Labs to discuss with our customers about their future technical requirements, so that we can incorporate their requirements in our future product developments.
