Du to give prizes to mark new 'My Account' services launch

Dubai-based telecommunications operator du is giving away vouchers worth Dh3,200 ($871) to celebrate the launch of a new range of 'My Account' services – available on its website and app, making it even easier to pay for and manage du services online.
The customers will automatically enter a prize draw for the vouchers each time they use 'My Account' before the end of January this year – those logging in via du app will triple their chances of winning, said a statement.
As well as winning prizes, customers will benefit from a number of new online services, all designed to further reduce the need to wait in line at du’s Shops and contact centres.
They will now have more flexibility to upgrade their prepaid and postpaid plans, they will also be able to view their payment and usage history, as well as trouble shoot – helping them better manage their spending and resolve queries.
Du will also become the only UAE telecom to allow customers to renew personal ID online to comply with the country’s ‘My Number My Identity’ requirements.
Carlos Domingo, senior executive officer, New Businesses and Innovation, du, said: “We’ve seen a 25 per cent increase in My Account users in just six months, this shows how much customers value managing their services online – so it’s important we keep giving them a better service and encourage more to use it.”
The prize draw winners can redeem their vouchers against devices at du’s flagship Al Salam store in Dubai Media City.
du will also be giving away vouchers on social media through 'My Account' competitions in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, 'My Account' will still retain all its popular features like setting up auto payments and recharges, as well as purchasing data bundles. - TradeArabia News Service
