Emaar Retail to host summer camps for kids

Dubai, June 26, 2012

Emaar Retail, a premium leisure and entertainment provider in Dubai, is offering children aged seven years and above an action-packed summer of exciting activities every week at six world-class leisure attractions.

The Dubai Summer Camp, to be held until August 16, runs from Sundays to Thursdays from 9am to 3pm (and from 10am to 3pm during Ramadan) and offers an environment for children to learn, play and have fun.

Parents simply need to drop off their children at The Dubai Mall and the Emaar Retail team will take care of the little ones, guiding them through the various leisure attractions, a statement said.

The first day of every week of The Dubai Mall Summer Camp will kick off with an array of activities at SEGA Republic, the two-level indoor theme park in the mall. Children can take part in motion-simulated rides, indoor spin-coaster and a large selection of arcade and gaming machines –assured to delight all age-groups.

The second day of The Dubai Mall Summer Camp will offer both physical activity and entertainment for the participants. Children can put on their skates to have a fun-day at the Olympic-size Dubai Ice Rink, all under the supervision of trained professionals. They can then sit back, relax and watch a movie at Reel Cinemas, enjoying the premium experience.

On the third day, the children will discover Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo to learn more about the aquatic environment by observing the 33,000 aquatic animals including sharks and rays. They will then visit At the Top, Burj Khalifa, the world’s highest observatory deck with an outdoor terrace in the world’s tallest building.

On the final day, the doors of the interactive mini-city, KidZania, will be open for the children to undertake a diverse array of real-life professions in the children’s city. They will dress up and role-play as a doctor, chef or a car mechanic, for example, and perform professional tasks in a fun and meaningful way.

The last day of the Dubai Summer Camp will end on a high note at SEGA Republic, the statement said.

Admission to the summer camp is priced at Dh650 ($177) per week, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
