Grammy star Sean Paul to rev up Bahrain F1

MANAMA, March 7, 2015

Grammy-award winning musician Sean Paul will perform in Bahrain during the F1 weekend.

He will take to the stage at Klub 360 on April 17, and organisers expect tickets to be sold out quickly.

Sean Paul has an undeniable track record for crafting hit singles such as Deport Them, Gimmie The Light, Like Glue, and We Be Burnin.

His most recent hit track What About Us stormed the UK chart at number one.

Details of the Bahrain show were revealed last night during an event at the Elite Crystal Hotel's Klub 360.

It will coincide with the highly anticipated 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which will be held from April 17 to April 19 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

'This is the first of many high-profile acts that Klub 360 will be bringing to the country,' Klub 360 manager Jonathon Sasson told the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

'We are making a bit of a statement with Sean Paul. What we are trying to do is elevate the reputation of not only the club and hotel but the country,' he noted.

The popular Jamaican artist will also bring along members of his entourage to be part of the entire act.

'Sean Paul is bringing over his people, the ones that he brings on his international tours,' said Sasson.

"His entourage will be accompanying him '“ there will be a hype man, a warmup DJ and more. They are the first of many high-profile acts that the club will be bringing in," he remarked.

'Our customers and the people of Bahrain want major things to happen.'

Tickets went on sale at 9pm yesterday at the venue which holds 650 people, and VIP tables are almost sold out.

'There are limited tickets that are going on sale and I expect the tickets to sell out quickly,' added Sasson.

'The tables have almost already sold out.'

VIP tables with six to 10 seats cost between BD400 and BD700 ($1054 and $1845). Standard tickets for men will cost BD50 ($132) or BD40 ($105) for members, and for women will cost BD35 ($92).

Sasson added that all VVIP table customers will be able to meet the star.

The GDN had earlier reported that a week prior to the Grand Prix weekend, a Race Fever event will be held at the track featuring British band The Vamps and Swedish DJ Otto Knows.

The headline act on race weekend at the BIC will be international superstar Pitbull.-TradeArabia News Service
