Abu Dhabi, UK ink customs pact

Abu Dhabi Customs has signed an MoU with the UK's and Ireland's Revenue and Customs to cooperate in customs matters, a report said.

In the first such alliance for Abu Dhabi, each customs administration will offer assistance in accordance with its national legal and administrative provision and within the limits of its competence and available resources, according to the Gulf News report.

Under the MoU, each customs administrations will provide information which will assist in seeing the proper application of customs law and the prevention, investigation and combating of irrespective actions against customs.
