Mani sets up new HQ in Dubai

Dubai, November 25, 2009

Mani & Company, a top producer of naturally nutritious fruit and nut snacks, has set up a new headquarters in Dubai; a project in which it has invested over Dh30 million ($8.17 million) serving Europe and the Mena region.

Mani’s Dubai unit includes around 70 employees specializing in various aspects of the company’s business. The new factory, located in Dubai Investment Park, is already operational and will significantly increase Mani’s output in the region, said a statement.

“We are pleased to announce Dubai as the location for our new headquarters in the Mena region,” commented Abouzar Rahmani, managing director of Mani.

“The UAE’s strategic location as a cross-road between East and West makes Dubai the ideal business hub for our international distribution activities.”

The opening of the Dubai headquarters was motivated by a number of internal developments within Mani. In addition to launching a new range of products, the company has expanded its presence in the retail and foodservice sector by introducing a variety of new SKUs.

Furthermore, total sales-value for Mani more than doubled between the second and third quarter of 2009.

“We can’t even compare the sales growth of Q3 2009 to Q3 2008,” said Rahmani. “Many of our activities have changed entirely because of the introduction of new products, packaging and supply points, amongst other things.  It truly has been a significant year in our company’s history.”

That means a lot for a company with over 120 years experience in the region.  Originally established as a small family-owned business, Mani has extended its reach across the globe by using a combination of traditional practices and heritage from Iran and state-of-the-art technology from Europe.

From its location in Dubai, the company will oversee its production, distribution, trading and marketing activities for Europe and the Mena region.

“We are looking to contribute to the UAE’s industrial and economical growth,” added Rahmani. “We are dedicated to meeting the ever-changing requirements of our consumer base by delivering only the most healthy and delicious products to the market.”

The company’s sales during the third quarter of 2009 have more than doubled compared to the previous quarter, the statement added. – TradeArabia News
