ProArt Gallery, which features renowned paintings and separate sections for collectables Osler crystal chandeliers, has opened its doors in Palm Strip Shopping Mall, a part of Dubai Investment Properties (DIP).

ProArt Gallery, targeted towards art lovers and collectors from the UAE and the GCC region, features paintings by renowned artists and separate sections for collectables Osler crystal chandeliers, said a statement from DIP.

ProArt Gallery is the brainchild of long-time art collector Tatiana Faure, art expert Rashesh Shah of Rifca and Dinsha and Munchi Shroff of Ancestry, which specialises in Osler and Baccarat chandeliers, Oriental and European crystal artifacts.

The gallery is the first place in the Middle East where a connoisseur is able to acquire some masters, lithographs prints and serigraphics of 50 artists from 15 different countries that is displayed onsite with art pieces exclusively from the UAE.

'Art collection has been a passion for many people in the Middle East, with millions being spent on masterpieces from across the globe. It is becoming a growing business in this region as people have begun viewing the value of art as an investment,' said Roxanne Faure, marketing manager, ProArt Gallery.

'We felt there was a need for a full-fledged art gallery in the heart of Dubai to exhibit masterpieces from renowned artists and to promote young local talent by holding exhibitions of their work,' she noted.

Elena Faure, administration manager, ProArt Gallery, said Palm Strip Shopping Mall offers the perfect location for the gallery as it is not only centrally located in the Jumeirah 1 area but also offers customers a relaxed ambiance and plenty of parking spaces.

The gallery features showcase a selection of artistic works by artists such as Carlos Nadal, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Alexej von Jawlensky and Suzanne Valadon.
