Dubai, March 29, 2011

Majid Al Futtaim Properties, the leading property and shopping mall developer, observed this year’s Earth Hour by switching off their exterior lights on March 26 for an hour.

Mall of the Emirates, the leisure, entertainment and shopping destination, performed Earth Hour by switching off all tenants' exterior signage, as well as 50 per cent of its parking lights. Additionally, Ski Dubai, the mall’s popular indoor ski resort and tourist attraction, supported the cause by switching off its exterior lights for the entire hour.

Mirdif City Centre switched off its garden and façade lights, in addition to dimming 30 per cent of the its car park lights. Moreover, the mall aired educational video clips throughout the centre, while promoting Earth Hour and its initiatives.
