Grohe unveils electronically controlled faucets

Nicosia, Cyprus, November 28, 2012

Germany-based Grohe, a leading manufacturer of sanitary fittings, has introduced electronically controlled faucets, offering ecologically sensible and economically advantageous water management.

The benefits of electronically controlled faucets in public areas are self-evident in that they allow users to start the flow of water without touching any part of the installation.

Moreover, they dispense water in controlled quantities and at a preset temperature. Operators can programme both settings individually, making it easy to help conserve resources.

During periods of low usage, automatic flushing cycles prevent the formation of stagnant water and bacteria in the water pipes. All requirements under current directives, norms and standards are met reliably, Grohe said in a statement.

Faucets in public washrooms are subject to heavy use, which is why specifiers are well advised to insist on high levels of quality and proven technologies.

These products not only offer excellent longevity and vandal-proof design but also incorporate such advanced technologies as Grohe LongLife which almost doubles the life of conventional batteries in electronically operated faucets.

Depending on the amount of washroom traffic, battery replacement intervals can be up to seven years, making a strong case for these fittings also in terms of operating and maintenance costs. In addition, the modern Grohe StarLight technology renders the chrome surfaces of the fittings resistant against soiling.

Highlights in the current Grohe range of electronically controlled faucets include Allure E and Essence E as well as Europlus E, Euroeco CE and Eurosmart CE. Allure and Essence are two of the multiple award-winning designer lines from Grohe.

Now their modern look created in the manufacturer’s in-house design studio is also available to add value to public washrooms. Allure E and Essence E also scored top ratings in the European WELL certification (Water Efficiency Label) process, which testifies to their sustainable credentials.

Euroeco CE and Eurosmart CE, too, are already slated for WELL certification. In addition to the infra-red controlled models, these lines also offer self-closing faucets with customisable flow times.

Electronically controlled faucets from Grohe are installed in iconic buildings all over the world. One of the latest examples in Germany is the reopened Städel Museum in Frankfurt. Visitors stepping into the museum’s modern washrooms are greeted by Allure E and a number of other products from the Grohe range.

“The electronically controlled Allure E faucet perfectly meets our high expectations in terms of hygiene, functionality and design,” said Heinz-Jürgen Bokler, deputy director of the Städel Museum.

“We want our visitors to feel good while they are with us and we believe that their experience should extend beyond our art exhibitions. We therefore make sure our high standards regarding looks and practicality are met even behind the scenes.” – TradeArabia News Service
