UAE ministry ties up with Watani

The UAE’s Ministry of Federal National Council Affairs has signed a deal with Watani, to enhance levels of co-operation and co-ordination to strengthen a culture of political participation in the country.

According to the MoU, the two organisations will undertake a series of programmes and activities related to political empowerment, raise awareness of the empowerment programme launched by UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and establish a culture of political participation and political awareness in the emirates.

Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for FNCA, said: “The MoU is aimed at integrating efforts and working with a common vision to create positive political awareness among all sectors of the society to support the process of political empowerment in the UAE.

Dherar Belhoul, director general of Watani, said: “The importance of the MoU is attributed to its goals and objectives in responding to the vision of the political leadership and the importance of educating young people on the values and practices of good citizenship." - TradeArabia News Service
