Meat subsidy to be lifted in Bahrain

Meat will be sold at non-subsidised prices in Bahrain from tomorrow (October 1) as the country gears up to lift the subsidy regime in phases. Bahrain Livestock Company chairman Ibrahim Zainal yesterday released new wholesale prices for meat which were agreed upon in consultation with butchers, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
