Dubai to host top chefs at BBC Good Food Show

DUBAI, October 20, 2015

Dubai is set to host five of the world’s top chefs at the first International edition of the BBC Good Food Show will which be held in December at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
 
TV stars James Martin, Paul Hollywood, Andy Bates, Silvena Rowe and Atul Kochhar will headline the new event, running from December 17 to 19 and taking place outside of the UK for the first time in the show’s 25-year history, said a statement.
 
They will appear in the show’s Supertheatre, where celebrity chefs will be cooking their favourite dishes in front of a live audience, it said.
 
For those seeking culinary inspiration, they can have their questions answered by their favourite chefs as they take to the Interview Stage to give their best cooking tips.  Visitors can also browse through the latest cook books and have their copies signed at numerous book signing sessions that will take place daily over the course of the event.
 
Early Bird Super Saver tickets for the show will be available this week with three options to choose from: Super Tickets include guaranteed seats in the Supertheatre; front block tickets are currently Dh100 ($27.2), while rear block seats cost Dh75 for adults.  Tickets for those under the age of 16 are available at Dh50.  
 
The standard entry tickets to the show will also be available this week, with early bird offers until November 10.  Two adult tickets currently cost Dh75 – a 50 per cent saving, while two child tickets cost Dh37.50.  Visitors buying tickets on the door will pay Dh75 per adult and Dh35 per child.  
 
The VIP Gold tickets cost Dh250 during the early bird offer and Dh350 on the door. The VIP Gold package includes VIP seating in the first five rows of the Supertheatre, access to the VIP lounge, a glass of bubbly or a pot of tea, valet parking and complimentary show catalogue.  
 
Dubai food lovers looking for a festive gift or a special treat will also have the luxury of shopping at the BBC Good Food retail area where the very best seasonal and regional producers will be on display across 80 brands.
 
Later, visitors can enjoy a high tea experience at the Tea Salon where they can take a break from all the shopping and treat themselves to English tea and desserts.
