Sharjah council polls records 67pc voter turnout

The first Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) polls recorded an impressive 67 per cent voter turnout.
The total number of votes polled stood at 16,696, with 58 per cent polled by male voters and 42 per cent by female voters, said a statement.
While Sharjah city polled more than 5,742 votes, it was followed by Khorfakkan with as many as 3,488 votes, it said.
It was followed by Dhaid 1, Madam, Maliha, Kalba 2, Dibba Al Hisn 1, Bataeh and Hamriya, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
