Dubai RTA, Uber sign MoU on self-flying planes

DUBAI, April 13, 2017

Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) and Uber have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on developing self-flying planes for air transportation services, a report said.

The MoU was announced during the second edition of Dubai Future Accelerators programme organised by Dubai Future Foundation, said the Emirates News 24/7 report.

The RTA is already working with Ehang to a get a self-flying air taxi (autonomous aerial vehicle) in the air by July this year.
