Gerab Energy debuts at electricity expo

Dubai, February 9, 2012

Gerab Energy Systems made its debut at the Middle East Electricity exhibition, and showcased patented energy-saving technology for HVAC and chillers brought to the UAE for the first time.

Gerab has formed an exclusive marketing tie-up with Articmaster, a US-based award winning manufacturer, for the patented energy-saving technology for HVAC and chillers that can help achieve up to 20 per cent energy savings for all HVACs from 1 to 1000 tonnes.

The new green technology also extends the life of the compressors with zero maintenance required, a statement from the company said.

Adnan Sharafi, director, Gerab Energy Systems, said: “Enhancing energy-use efficiency is the cornerstone of UAE’s vision for a ‘Green Economy for Sustainable Development,’ announced by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai.”

“With demand for power and water increasing, and the cost of delivering and using electricity also on the rise, it is important for customers – both residential and commercial – to focus on measures to optimise the energy use management.”

“Air-conditioning accounts for a large portion of the electricity usage in the region, and by introducing to the UAE the patented and award-winning energy saving technology by Articmaster, we are confident of achieving greater energy efficiencies in the sector,” Sharafi added.

The newly introduced Articmaster heat exchanger optimizer won the ‘Innovation of the Year’ honour at the 2011 Excellence in Best Practices Awards by Frost & Sullivan, the statement said.

Francy Joseph, Gerab Energy Systems, Dubai, said. “Articmaster’s line of products also helps in lowering carbon emissions, another key goal of the sustainable development strategy of the UAE. This will add a new dimension to the available energy saving technology in the region.”

The portfolio of energy-saving products by Gerab Energy also includes Ultra, Airconsaver and Voltis, all of which cater industrial, commercial and residential users and help reduce energy consumption.

Middle East Electricity is the largest of its kind energy event, and is being held until February 9 at the Dubai International Convention Centre, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
