A-MAP and Hyundai Oilbank officials unveil the new lubricants.

Hyundai Oilbank enters GCC lube market

DUBAI, December 20, 2014

Global automotive aftermarket player A-MAP has partnered with Korea’s advanced oil refinery Hyundai Oilbank to launch its new XTeer range of engine oils in the Gulf region.

A Dubai-based company, A-MAP specialises in the marketing and distribution of aftermarket automotive spare parts, automotive batteries, tyres and lubricants.

The company believes that its partnership with Korean giant, Hyundai, will soon position it to be a leader in the regional automotive aftermarket industry.

The GCC lubricants market is estimated to be 700,000 metric tonnes annually, it added.

“We have a long history of working with Korean manufacturers to bring the excellence, and related road safety, of their automotive products to consumers in the Gulf and beyond,” remarked its CEO Umesh Agrawal.

“The launch of Hyundai XTeer today is yet another example of A-MAP’s leadership in the regional automotive aftermarket industry,” he stated.

XTeer has a complete range of premium performance lubricants formulated with Hyundai’s world leading technology for vehicles of all makes and models, he added.

According to him, these lubricants are fully suitable for use in passenger car and light truck gasoline engines, passenger car diesel engines, and heavy duty diesel engines under all operating conditions.

The wider temperature range capability of the Hyundai Xteer lubricants ensures the maximum performance and the highest engine protection levels that will help in reducing the deposits and sludge in the engines and pistons that in turn will reduce the fuel consumption.

Kim Byungsub the vice president of Hyundai Oilbank, said: "We are excited to be working with A-MAP, a company with a proven track record of value-adding achievement in the GCC’s aftersales auto parts and solutions market."

"And we are confident that they are the best possible partners to help us promote this premium product across the Gulf region," he noted.

Imran Khalid, A-MAP’s Lubricants head of business development, said: "We want the best for our customers, and lubricants play a vital role in the successful operation of vehicles, large and small, new and old."

"Xteer, with its market-leading performance, we expect will be very positively received here in the GCC markets where drivers appreciate quality and are willing to pay for it to extend and improve the life of their motor vehicles," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
