Oman's 116,400-barrels-per-day Sohar oil refinery has started major maintenance expected to last until April 23, the operator said in a statement.

Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co (Orpic) said that this maintenance is due every three years and would not affect the local supply of fuel, according to a statement published by state news agency ONA.

Sohar's polypropylene plant will also undergo maintenance over the same period, the company added. – Reuters
