UAE petroleum distribution firms reject report.

UAE firms deny vehicle fuel delivery service

DUBAI, May 18, 2016

Abu Dhabi National Oil Distribution Company (Adnoc Distribution), Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) and Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) have clarified that they have no plans to provide vehicle fuel delivery outside of their service stations.

The companies, reacting to news reports recently published on some websites and social media platforms announcing the launch of a new fuel delivery service in the UAE, said such reports are false.

"This statement comes after tracking fuel delivery advertisements circulating on websites and social media channels that promise delivery of petroleum outside of service stations to homes or work sites. Such practices require a comprehensive study into the safety implications for society and the environment, as well as ensuring strict standards and measures are adhered to when fuel is transported and filled from outside the dedicated service stations," the companies said.

Adnoc Distribution, Emarat and Enoc are the authorised organisations for marketing and distribution of petroleum products in the UAE.
