Iran plans $645m spend to boost oil recovery

TEHRAN, August 18, 2016

The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) plans to implement 14 projects worth $645 million aiming to step up oil recovery rate from oilfields, a report said.

With the implantation of the new projects, the gas injection capacity into oilfields run by NISOC is expected to increase by 16.3 million cu m per day, added the Iran Daily report, which cited Shana.

The company injected over 36 million cu m of gas into its oilfields recently to increase their recovery rate, according to the report.
