Panasonic camera wins top European award

Dubai, August 17, 2008

Panasonic’s Lumix TZ5, known in the Middle East as TZ15, has won Europe’s most coveted photography award at the recent EISA awards.

The TZ15’s sister camera, the TZ11, has been named as the Editor’s Choice in PC Magazine Middle & Near East’s August edition.

Both the cameras are equipped with a 28mm wide-angle lens that lets the user capture impressive scenes with a 10x optical zoom. They also feature a high-resolution Intelligent LCD and Lumix’s signature “IA” intelligence which allows them to automatically adjust themselves to the light and surroundings.

’The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 (Middle East TZ15) has an extensive zoom range extending from very wide to telephoto angles of view,’ said an official statement from EISA.

’The 10x Leica DC 28-280mm (equivalent) lens provides focal lengths to suit almost every style and subject, in a single very useful unit. The camera’s compact size, slim profile and high 9-million-pixel image quality make it an ideal travel camera, as well as one you will always want to carry with you every day.’

EISA is the unique association of special interest magazines from 20 European countries.

In June each year, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which of products analyzed in their publications during the past year deserve the coveted EISA Award in the fields of Audio, Video, Home Theatre, Photography and Mobile Electronics.

There is no doubt that this EISA Award falls on the products that are declared outstanding above any other ones in that field.

’Lumix is recognised as a leader in its field and this endorsement, coming from one of Europe’s most respected technical authorities, reinforces that reputation,’ said Hitesh Ojha, AV product manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.-TradeArabia News Service
