New Bluetooth headset launched

Dubai, April 26, 2010

Denmark-based GN Netcom, a leader in innovative headset solutions, through its Jabra brand, has launched the new Clipper Bluetooth mono/stereo headset, offering a unique combination of discreet clip-on cool and clean European design.

The easy-to-use device is bundled with additional noise-blocking 3.5 mm stereo earphones, enabling you to listen to your favorite tunes and take calls while on the go, a statement said.

“The new Jabra Clipper is specially designed with Middle Eastern tastes and preferences in mind,” said Ahmed Elkalliny, area director, Middle East and Africa, mobile division, GN Netcom.

“The headset clips securely and discreetly on to all types of clothing and utilizes the wired configuration preferred by many users in the region. We’re extremely excited to launch our first wired headset and are adding the stereo earphones to the pack for those consumers who like to enjoy music on the go,” he added.

“The new Jabra Clipper caters to the tastes of all users, as it is also provided with the mono earphone for busy people on the go. Thanks to Multiuse technology, it can wirelessly connect to two different devices at the same time, such as a mobile and other Bluetooth enabled device,” Elkalliny continued.

“Any incoming call will override any music track being played, so there’s no need to switch between devices. As well as offering great sound quality, its smooth styling and minimalistic controls give it the coolness and functionality to set you apart from the crowd.”

The Jabra Clipper offers the best of both worlds in more than one respect: while Multiuse technology brings maximum convenience, the two connected devices can be kept away from the headset even when in use, in a pocket or bag for example.

The Jabra Clipper is certified IP44 dust and water resistant, and meets the stringent US military standards of rain and shock resistance.

The Jabra Clipper is compatible with any device with Bluetooth wireless technology including the Apple iPhone and iPod touch, the statement said.

The Jabra Clipper is being offered in the UAE at a retail price of Dh149 ($40.50), according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
